Lieve
LOVE this photo of my gorgeous, tall friend Lieve .
She could happily eat all the pastries in front of her and not gain a single gram ! She is one of those women that were born to wear spectacular clothes but can look amazing in an old towel .
The kind we all envy and mostly hate, but Lieve is such a pure soul that it just is not possible.
I met Lieve while doing an exhibition in Paris where she was also exhibiting. My friend, Charl, on whose stand I had been given space, knew her from previous exhibitions and had told me about this great woman he knew and that I would like her a lot.
Well, I did !After the exhibition I went with her to her home in Brugge and spent a few days. It felt as if I had known her all my life and it was just so relaxing and easy.
Her life story could easily be made into a movie and I so wish she would write it. Maybe I should and just "all names and places have been changed to protect innocent people " it :D
Even though we see each other for a few days a year and live many miles apart, I love knowing that somewhere in world I have a tall beautiful friend called Lieve .

rooms full of gifts
We went to Lourensford Estate in the mountains at Somerset West, near Cape Town for the fabulous Kamersvolgeskenke ... which literally means Rooms full of Gifts.
Welcomed by these fabulous wire and beaded sheep .

Beautiful trees large as life and for sale.... for lots and lots of money but how amazing to have a large oak tree INSTANTLY in your new garden
The girls on a mission !
Celeste taking a lunch break
We had the most amazing salads from the new deli at Lourensford Estate ... the gifts will be sold and taken away but the deli remains !
Well worth a visit.
